My OWCP Claim was denied what do I do now?

If your OWCP claim gets denied, it’s not the end of the road. Most denials happen because something is missing, usually medical evidence, a clear connection to your job, or proper documentation.

The first thing I tell people is: read the denial letter carefully. OWCP will usually explain exactly what they believe is missing or insufficient.

From there, you still have options. You can submit more evidence through reconsideration, request a hearing, or file an appeal. Each path has deadlines, so timing matters.

What really makes the difference is fixing the issue OWCP pointed out, especially strengthening your medical evidence and clearly tying your injury to your work.
